1. Piston/cylinder (longer screws on cylinder)
2. Front handle mounting (polymer stiffener)

1. Piston/cylinder
The IS-M6 x 20 spline screws have been replaced
by IS-M6 x 25 spline screws to take account of the
increased height of the cylinder base. The cylinder
fin has been shortened in the area of the mounting
screws. A combination of the original and new
versions is not permitted.

2. Front handle mounting
(except versions with wrap-around handle)
The front handle mounting will be further optimized
by fitting a polymer stiffener between the handle
and the spline screws.
The original IS-P6 x 19 (2x) spline screws will be
replaced with IS-P6 x 32.5 spline screws.

In future the chain catcher assembly 1122 650 7700
will be supplied in place of the individual components
(collar stud, sleeve, retaining ring and nut).
The chain catcher’s sleeve will be made of a better
grade material which is designed to help improve

4. Front hand guard
The front hand guard 1122 792 9101/06 will be
strengthened by additional stiffening ribs on the arm
at the clutch side.
Lever 1121 160 5000 will be replaced by the new
version 1128 160 5000 which has been designed to
help reduce the force necessary to activate the
chain brake.

5. Fan housing
Starter post 1122 080 6500 will be replaced by starter post 1122 080 6501.
The new starter post is made of steel instead of aluminium. This modification will help reduce wear on this

6. Rewind spring
A replacement rewind spring with a sheetmetal
holder will be available when model 020 T saws
are launched.
The original spring housing has been deleted.
Replacement rewind springs for model 064, 066
will also be supplied with this type of holder in
future.
Benefits:
• Lower
weight compared to spring housing
• less
Spring housing has been deleted - one part
to wear, rewind spring is therefore cheaper
• Improved service friendliness
Sheetmetal holder can be scrapped after installing
the rewind spring.
