Muffler

Contrary to the descriptions and illustrations in the

service manual (chapter ’4.1 Muffler’), please note
the following points:

• The

      exhaust muffler must not be opened.
  Upper and lower casings are bonded together.
    The mounting screws are also secured with
    adhesive and must not be undone.
    Important: Any attempt to loosen the screws
    can result in them shearing off. Once opened,
    the muffler cannot be effectively sealed again.

• Itorder
      is not necessary to remove the muffler in
          to clean or replace the insert.
    After taking out the 4x15 DG screw, the insert

    can be pulled out of the muffler at an angle.
