1.=Carburetor
A modified version of carburetor 4119 120 0602 will
be installed from machine number X 29 643 202.
The original end cover 1120 121 0802 (light alloy
casting) has been deleted and replaced by the
version 1123 121 0801 (made of steel).
The steel end cover will be secured with the slightly
shorter flange head screws 4132 122 6600 which
replace the previous screws 1120 122 6601.
The type designation of the carburetor has been
changed from C1S-S3 & to C1S-S3 '.

Right: New version
There is a difference in the thickness of the original
and new end covers. For this reason the cast end
cover must always be secured with flange head
screws 1120 122 6601 and the steel end cover only
with flange head screws 4132 122 6600.

2.=Air filter, FS 280
The original air filter 4119 120 1605 will be
replaced from machine number X 29 972 731
by the modified version 4119 120 1606.
As a result of this change in the flange area of
the air filter the spacer plate 4119 122 1700 is
no longer necessary and has been deleted.
Service note
The spacer plate must be removed from original-
type machines before installing the air filter

3.=Nameplate
The original riveted aluminium nameplates will be
replaced from machine number X 31 103 922=by
clip-in plastic nameplates. The plastic nameplate
is pressed into the shroud and locked in position by
two retaining tabs. The two mounting holes in the
shroud have been countersunk for this purpose.
Service note
Plastic nameplates cannot be fitted in the original
version of the shroud because of the difference in
the mounting holes. For this reason the aluminium
nameplates and round head rivets will remain
available as spare parts.

4.=Starter cup
The starter cup 4116 195 0500 has been modified
in connection with the development of new models
and has been given the new part number
4223 195 0600. The modified starter cup
(and the original version) can also be used as a
replacement for models FS 360, FS 420 and
BR 320/400, SR 320/400.

5.=Clamp/handlebar support, FS 160/180
In order to standardize parts with other models the
original handlebar support and the top and bottom
clamps have been replaced by parts of identical
shape but with a different part number.
This modification applies to all versions of models
FS 160 and FS 180.
Notes on replacement parts
For a temporary period the handlebar support
4126 791 7611 was supplied in place of the
original version 4126 791 7610. This temporary
has also been deleted and replaced by handlebar
support 4133 791 7610.
