1.=Bearing with guard
The former "bearing with guard" attachments,
diameter 300 mm (12 in.), will be replaced by new
versions with immediate effect. The attachments
with guard diameter 350 mm (14 in.) will continue to
be available in the former version until roughly

These modifications (particularly the use of aluminium for the guard) considerably reduce the weight of the
attachments (by between 400 and 900 grams (3/4 - 2 lbs.), depending on version). This has a favourable
effect on the centre of gravity of the machine as a whole and makes it considerably easier to handle when cutting
freehand.
The part numbers for the "bearing with guard" attachments, dia. 350 mm =14 in.= =new version=, will be
published in a separate "Technical Information" sheet.
Scope of supply of the new attachments
The new "bearing with guard" attachments will be supplied without V-belt guard (see Summary) following
introduction of the pqfei qp=QMM=Ewith new V-belt guard 4223 700 8100). This means that the new attach-
ments are universally suitable for pqfei cut-off saws TS 350, 360, 400 and 460. New machines will be
unaffected by the change,
since the appropriate V-belt guard with fastening elements is enclosed with each cut-off saw
when it leaves the factory.

2.=Modified attachments
2.1=Water attachment for wet cutting
The coupling sleeve of the wet cutting attachment is
secured to the handle of the cut-off saw and not to the
guard following the introduction of the new aluminium
guards.
This ensures a clear view of the cut and consequently
makes the machine very much easier to handle when
cutting freehand.
The former water attachment for wet cutting
4201 007 0136 is consequently no longer available
and is replaced by two attachments
4201 007 1038=Efor TS 350, 360, 400, 460) and
4205 007 1026=Efor TS 510 and TS 760).

A hole must be drilled in the handles of older
TS 350, 360 and TS 460 machines in order to mount M5 x 30 (TS350,360)

2.2 Water tank attachment
The former water tank attachment 4201 007 1045
is being replaced by the modified version
4201 007 1048 with immediate effect.
The connecting parts for the water supply on=============================P
the guard are no longer included in the scope
of supply of the water tank attachment =see

For this reason, the matching water attachment
for wet cutting (see section 2.1) must always be 2
available. The water tank is connected to the wet
cutting attachment by a 540 mm (21.25 in.) long
hose 1=which is fitted to the hose connection on
the water tank. After mounting the retainer on the
cart, the coupling sleeve 2=is plugged directly onto
the hose connection of the shutoff valve on the
handle.

in both ends of the retainer to prevent the water
tank from slipping off the retainer when the cart is

3.=Cart, cutting depth limiter
3.1=Cart
The serviceability of the cart has also been improved
with the introduction of new wheels 4201 790 5700
(with wider hubs and new caps) and a modified axle
4201 711 0903. The felt rings in the wheel remain
unchanged. The axle now features two DGGLWLRQDO
recesses for the axial circlips. The distance between
these recesses has been adapted to the hub width
of the new wheels.
Supply of spare parts
Wheel 4201 710 3000 and cap 4201 717 2001 will
continue to be available for repairing carts with the

version in future and can also accommodate the
former wheel version.

3.2=Cutting depth limiter
The clamping lever 9582 003 0471 will be made of
metal instead of plastic in future. The lever will also
be approx. 20 mm (0.78 in.) longer and the mating
surface larger. Shim 9291 021 0180 (Item 6) is
consequently no longer required and can be
deleted.
Together with introduction of the new wheels for
the cart (see section 3.1), wheel 4201 710 3000

(dia. 180 mm) (7 in.) will no longer be required for
the cutting depth limiter.
Wheel 4201 712 1005 (dia. 142 mm) (5.6 in.),
which was fitted as a standard part, must be used
