Model 070, 090 Chainsaws - Series 1106

Contents

1. Shroud/cover (plastic nameplates)
2. Fan housing (plastic nameplate, 070 only)
3. Carburetor (change of supplier)

4. Clutch (070 only)
5. Wrap-around handle (090 only)

1. Shroud/cover

The original riveted aluminium nameplates will be
replaced by clip-in plastic nameplates from machine
number X 33 878 645.
Only one nameplate with the STIHL logo and model
designation will be fitted instead of the plate on the

shroud (STIHL logo) and the plate on the cover
(model designation.

The new plastic nameplate is pushed into the cover

and held in position by two retaining lugs.

                                                                               106TI007 KN

The two holes in the cover are countersunk for
this purpose.

The mounting holes and frame in the shroud have

been deleted.

Service note
Plastic nameplates cannot be fitted in the original
versions of the shroud and cover because they do
not have countersunk mounting holes. For this

reason the aluminium nameplates and round head
rivets remain available as replacements.

                                                                                106TI008 KN
