1.=====Quick chain tensioner
Stiffener 1123 021 2800 will be installed in the
engine housing to further enhance its rigidity in
the area of the bar mounting flange.
The stiffener is also included in the quick chain
tensioner kit 1123 007 1008.
Service note
Stiffener 1123 021 2800 can be backfitted to
135TI030 KN
machines with a quick tensioner that are brought
in for repair or servicing.

2.=====Versions with easy start system
In the near future the hoses to the fuel pump in
the handle housing will be protected by cover (1)
1123 353 7000. 2
The cover (1) locates behind the top lug (2) of 1
the primer pump. An integrally molded pin (3) at the
bottom locates in the handle housing.

A 2.5 mm (0.1") diameter hole is provided in the
handle housing to take the pin. 3
The part number of the handle housing remains
unchanged.
Removal, installation
• Apply thumb to housing and then push cover
carefully in direction of arrow until it comes out
of its seat.
• Remove the cover.
Reverse the above sequence to install the cover.

3.=== Oil seal
If the engine pan is separated from the cylinder
during a repair, the oil seal 9639 003 1585
(with rigid housing) used on the production line may
be installed.
If the cylinder and engine pan are still assembled,
only oil seal 9638 003 1581 (supplied as a replace-
ment up to now) may be press-fitted.
The technical reasons for this are described in
detail in TI 39.90.

The shape of the 023 L cylinder has been modified.
New cylinders are more favorable in terms of noise
reduction.
