1.===New versions
A new version of the FS 360 has been added to
the=line=~nd=revised=for special applications with
the brush knifeK
A new gearhead 4116 640 0103 with an uprated
output shaft (with M14 thread) is installed in both
versions to further extend wear life.
The units come standard with thrust plate
4116 710 3810 (65 mm, 2.6 in. diam.) and harde- 1
ned
guard ring 4116 717 2700 (see TI 48.94).
The 65-mm, 2.6 in. diameter thrust plate fits the
gear housing in such a way that it helps prevent the
ingress of grass and dirt into the cavity.
The separate grass deflector is no longer required
and cannot be fitted to this gearhead. 2

may be fitted to these versions in place of the

New, modified limit stops (see 3) must be used for

Note:=ft is also possible to fit the original version of
the limit stop (to use up existing stocks). To do
this, simply remove the 65-mm, 2.6 in. diam. thrust
plate and replace it with the 60-mm, 2.4 in. diam.

Parts availability
When the new cutting head is introduced only the new top 4005 710 9600 will be available as a replacement
from the factory. The new version of the collar nut (4003 713 6801 with M12 thread) is fitted in the top to
enable it to be mounted to cutting head 4003 710 2120. If the top is used for cutting head 4005 710 2100,
the M12 collar nut has to be replaced by an M14 collar nut.

Depending on the cutting head version (M12 or
M14), it is necessary to use different collar nuts
for repairs:
Only the M12 collar nut 4003 713 6800=can be
used for the original Autocut 40-4 (M12) with the
original top 4003 713 9610.
If the cutting head has already been equipped with
the new top 4005 710 9600 in a previous repair,
either the new M12 collar nut 4003 713 6801=or 14,5 mm 16,5 mm 16,5 mm

The new Autocut 40-4 (M14) may be equipped

3.=====Limit stops for circular saw blades
Limit stops 225 and 250 have been modified
(see arrows) to suit the diameter of the thrust plate
4116 710 3810 (65 mm, 2.6 in. diam.).
The modified limit stops can also used together with
thrust plate 4116 710 3800 (60 mm, 2.4 in. diam.)
and have been given new part numbers.
As before, the new limit stops are also available as
complete kits (with transport guard and mounting
hardware) for the initial conversion to metal cutting
tools.
