1.=Carburetor HS 276
A modified version of carburetor 4221 120 0602
will be used from serial number X 33 998 043
onwards.
Installation:
The former fixed jet 4221 121 5600 (0.77 mm)
is replaced by the new version 4221 121 5601
(0.83 mm).
The carburetor type designation is consequently
changed from HS 276 $ to HS 276 %.

2.=Short block
The crankshaft oil seal 9640 003 1885 on the clutch
side will be replaced by version 9640 003 1888 in
the near future. The new crankshaft oil seal has a
rubber-elastic outer sheath.

A support 4221 141 2400 will be introduced in the
near future as a functional improvement.
The support will reinforce the manifold and help to
prevent collapsing of the manifold.
The support is made of spring steel and must be
fitted so that it presses the manifold against the
housing duct from the inside (see diagram).

4.=Tank vent
A second sintered filter (Item 1) will be fitted in the
tank vent in future. This is designed to protect the
tank vent valve against contamination.

When replacing the sintered filter, it should only be
pressed into the tank vent until flush against the 1
collar (see diagram).
