Mushroom valve 1110 353 1600 will be installed in
tank housing 1122 350 0816 from machine
number X 35 661 524K=ft replaces the original
two-way valve 4114 353 1600 and ensures better
pressure equalization.

Air enters the tank via the new valve
1110 353 1600 (see arrows) as the volume of fuel
in the tank reduces. However, air cannot flow from
the inside outwards. Pressure can therefore build
up in the tank while the engine is stopped if the
fuel is heated by sunlight or other influences.

Always open the fuel filler cap slowly so that any

excess pressure that has built up is released
gradually and fuel does not escape unexpectedly.

2.=HD air filter
The original HD air filter 0000 120 1650, which
needs to be impregnated with oil, will be replaced
by the new version 0000 120 1652 from machine
number X 36 262 047.
A fleece filter material is used in the new HD filter.
This material is designed to provide excellent
filtering efficiency without oil.
Filters with this fleece must not be
impregnated with oil. See also TI 43.96

3.=Nameplates
The original riveted aluminium nameplates will be
replaced by clip-in plastic nameplates from
machine number X 33 459 523K=qhe new plastic
nameplate is pushed into the carburetor box cover
and held in position by two retaining lugs. The two
holes in the shroud are countersunk for this
purpose.
Service note
Plastic nameplates cannot be fitted in the original
version of the shroud because it does not have
countersunk mounting holes. For this reason the
aluminium nameplates and round head rivets
remain available as replacements.

5.=Wiring harness/generator
In future, machines with handle heating will come
with tube 1121 442 0402 to insulate the plug and
socket connection between the wiring harness and
generator. The tube replaces the pin housing
1128 431 8400 and socket housing 1128 431 8700.

In order to reduce the load on the cylinder base,
cylinder gasket E1F=NNOO=MOV=OPMN=must be
installed with the raised side facing the crankcase
E2F.

a new gasket after disassembling the cylinder. 2
