1.=044: Tank housing
The original tank housing 1128 350 0804 will be
replaced by tank housing 1128 350 0815 with a
new tank vent and additional lugs for holding the
wiring in position.
1.1=Tank vent
The original tank vent 1128 350 5805 will be repla-
ced by valve (1) 1110 353 1600.
The sintered filter (2) helps prevent dirt entering

the valve. Cap (3) protects the sintered filter from
icing up.

Air enters the tank through the new valve
(see arrows) as the volume of fuel in the tank redu-
ces.
However, air cannot flow from the inside outwards.
Pressure can therefore build up in the tank while
the engine is stopped if the fuel is heated by sun-
light or other influences.
Open the fuel filler cap slowly so that any
excess pressure that has built up is released

gradually and fuel does not escape

The thermostatic switch has been moved from the
carburetor end cover to the heating element (see
arrow). 1
The respective standard carburetors are now instal-
led in conjunction with the new heating element.
Gasket 1128 129 1100 (1) is fitted between the car-
buretor and heating element to improve heat distri-
bution.
