Drive tube
A 102 mm (4 in) longer shaft will be installed in mo-
del FS 75 from machine number X 36 865 750 in
order to improve handling. 1
The original and new versions of the drive tube (1),
flexible liner (2) and flexible drive shaft (3) are only 3
interchangeable as complete assemblies.

Models FS 75 with short shaft and FS 72 use the
same drive shaft. This shaft remains available as a
spare.
In order to standardize replacement parts, the dri-
ve tube 4133 710 7100 for model FS 72 will also
be supplied as a replacement part for short-shaft
FS 75 brushcutters. It will come with a drilling tem-
plate (4).
Drive tubes without a drilling template can be dril-
led according to the following instructions and
used for model FS 75 (short).

Service note
The only difference between the drive tubes
installed in models FS 72 and 75 is the position of
6 mm

the hole for the fixing screw. FS 72

The replacement drive tube is pre-drilled for model
FS 72. The hole for the fixing screw on the FS 75 0000 967 3722 A SAL
has to be drilled using the drilling template (4).
Peel the drilling template off the drive tube
before fitting the shaft in the AV sleeve.

If no drilling template is available, drill the hole in 66,3 mm
the drive tube 4133 710 7100 for the FS 75 (short)
(2 5/8")
as shown on the drawing on the right.
