Tank vent =service note
A modified tank vent will be installed from machine
number X 38 139 451. qhe new version now vents
into the gap between the carburetor housing and
shroud.
Tank vent 1122 350 5850 will be supplied as a
replacement for a limited period only.
Service notes
• Remove carburetor box cover.
• Take away the air filter.
• Drill hole in carburetor housing - molding skin 5,6 mm
(see arrow) indicates the correct position. (0.22 in dia.)

• Carefully remove drill slavings from carburetor
housing.

• Remove cap.
• Remove filter.

• Place tank vent in position.

• Use suitable pliers to grip the tank vent as
shown and locate it in its seat by tapping the
pliers once or twice with a mallet.

• Slip the thrust piece over the tank vent (see
illustration).

• Use suitable pliers to press home the thrust
piece by tapping the pliers once or twice with
a mallet.

• Push the tank vent through the carburetor
housing and into the gap.
• Install the air filter.
• Fit the carburetor box cover.
