The cutting blade assembly on model HS 85 will be Other benefits are:

a special accessory in future to help protect the

3. Shroud
A modified shroud will be installed in model HS 85
hedge trimmers from serial number 1 46 079 394.
The shroud is equipped with an additional deflector
to divert exhaust gases away from the front handle.
The new shroud 4226 080 0903 (with defelector)
will be supplied as a replacement for all machines
instead of the previous shroud 4226 080 0902. The 367TI002 KN
deflector is secured to the shroud with two DG 4x12
screws.

4. ElastoStart™ (starter rope)
ElastoStart 0000 190 3400 will be replaced by
ElastoStart 0000 190 3403 to achieve a further
improvement in operation. The new version of the
ElastoStart comes with the 2.7mm x 800mm (0.106”
x 31.5”) starter rope 4123 195 8200.

5. Assist Handle
Model HS 85 hedge trimmers from serial number
1 46 079 394 will be supplied with a new assist
handle which can be mounted in two different
positions (A and B).

On HS 85 machines with 24 in. and 30 in. cutter
bars, the assist handle is mounted in position A, on
the HS 85 with a 40 in. cutter bar it is mounted in
position B. To change the assist handle from position A to
position B (or vice versa), use a torx driver
(T 27 x 150) to remove the two threaded sleeves
from the cutter bar.
