The new FC 73 low-emission edger complies with
CARB II regulations. It features a new stratified-
charged engine (series 4141 powerhead).
Stratified charging helps reduce the level of
emissions in the engine’s exhaust gas.
In this system a layer of air is laid on top of the
combustible mixture. This cushion of air helps to
reduce the amount of fuel in the scavenging losses.
The controls, loop handle and drive tube are exactly
the same as those of the FC 75 edger.
Gearbox, deflector and skirt have been taken from
the latest versions of model FC 55 and FC 75
edgers.
Typical applications are the same as those for
model FC 75.
