The new STIHL FSE 60 electric grass trimmer and
STIHL FCE 60 electric edger are now available and
replace the previous FE 55 and EC 70.
Both units have been designed for occasional use
operating in residential areas.

1. Technical Description
Motor, controls and handle system are the same
as those of the EC 70 electric edger.
. Modified motor housing.
. New strain relief for extension cord.

FSE 60

Drive tube, deflector and mowing head

mounting are the same as those used on
the FS 45.

FCE 60
Drive tube, gearhead, deflector and skirt are
the same as those used on the FC 75.

5.    Service Accessories

5.1   Special Servicing Tools

The special servicing tools for the motor and
controls are listed in the service manual for models
FE 55, EC 70. For the drive tube, mowing head
mounting, gearhead and deflector with skirt see
service manual for models FS 75, 80, 85, FC 75.

6. Repairs
If the unit is started up in the course of repairs,
it is essential to strictly observe all country-
specific safety regulations and the safety
precautions outlined in the owner’s manual.

6.1 Service Note
Refer to the following service manuals for servicing
and repair procedures: STIHL FE 55, EC 70, (for
motor and controls), STIHL FS 75, 80, 85, FC 75 (for
drive tube, mowing head mounting, gearhead and

deflector with skirt).

6.2 Repair Times
The specified repair times assume that the work is
performed by trained personnel in a properly

equipped service workshop.
The repair times are shown in tenths of an hour
(0.1 h = 6 minutes). fo

7. Spare Parts
A separate illustrated parts list is available for the
new machines.
