Tank vent
The existing tank vent, consisting of valve, filter and Function
cap, will be replaced by the new tank vent

Parts availability
Tank housing 1124 350 0820 will only be supplied
from the factory with the new tank vent

0000 350 5800. The parts of the previous tank vent
(valve 1110 353 1600, filter 1121 358 1800 and cap
1121 358 2500) remain available as spares.

When fuel is drawn from the tank, a slight vacuum is
initially created in the tank. This causes the
diaphragm to lift off the valve plate and the valve
opens. Air flows into the fuel tank. The pressures at
both sides of the diaphragm are equalized in this
way.
The valve closes when the pressures are equal.
