Shafts
. Drive shafts run in flexible liners that are
lubricated for life as in brushcutters and clearing
saws. 270°
. The front end of the drive tube can be rotated
through 270° to swing the hook to the required
position.

. The front end of the drive tube (1) can be
separated from the powerhead (2) to save
space for transportation. The drive shaft is
secured in the front end of the drive tube to 2 1

joint and additionally secured with a screw. All
other plug-in connections of the two drive shafts
are splined.
Gearbox
. The gearbox features a combination of straight-
toothed 90° pinion and eccentric drive gear. The
eccentric drive gear converts rotary motion into
a linear and uniform reciprocating motion.
. The same oil is used for lubrication as for
models SP 400 and SP 450.

Harness
2
. The harness is the same as the one used for
models SP 400 and SP 450.
. The chest strap (1) helps prevent the shoulder
strap (2) coming off the shoulder when the 1
harvester is lifted during operation, i.e. when the
load on the shoulder strap is relieved.
. Only the chest strap needs to be opened to
quickly throw off the machine in an emergency.
