1. Rapid Super C Saw Chain

The new low vibration Rapid Super C full chisel
chain is a high-performance chain for use only by
persons with extraordinary cutting needs and
experience and specialized training for dealing with

kickback. It is used for logging and bucking on chain
saws with an engine power output of more than

2.5 kW (3.35 HP).
The Rapid Super C transmits less vibration to the
guide bar, saw and operator. It therefore offers

maximum cutting efficiency combined with a lower
vibration level.

The depth gauges and cutting edges (side and top
plates) of the new cutters are exactly the same as The bottoms of the cutters and tie straps slope
those of the Rapid Super. upwards at the rear.
This clearance between the cutters and guide bar
allow the cutters to tip back slightly and thus
produce a shock absorbing effect.
The new chains are available with a pitch of 3/8" and
drive link gauges of .063" (1.6 mm), .058" (1.5 mm)
and .050" (1.3 mm).

1.4 Sharpening the chain

Depth gauge setting, side plate angle and filing
angle on the Rapid Super C are exactly the same as
for the Rapid Super. The sharpening procedure is

also the same.
