1. New STIHL FixCut 5-2 and
STIHL FixCut 25-2 Mowing Heads
Pre-cut lengths of mowing line are used in the new
mowing heads. This type of mowing head is popular
in those areas where simplicity is the key and easy
and quick cutting line replacement is required.
Another advantage is the fact that a choice of
mowing lines with diameters between 0.080" and
0.130" can be used, regardless of the line shape.
The only differences between the two mowing
heads are the parts supplied with them to suit the
mounting system of the brushcutter concerned.
Each mowing head is shipped with twelve pre-cut 8"
681TI049 KN
lengths of 0.095" diameter round mowing line.

1.5 Fitting Lines in Mowing Head 1.5.2 Other Notes
Always equip the mowing head with two lines of the
same length and diameter. If the mowing head is
equipped with only one line, there may be an
1 2 increase in machine vibrations.
General rule: The thicker the mowing line, the higher
the power required to produce a reasonable or good

Irrespective of their shape, pre-cut replacement
