1. 3/8“ Rapid Super Comfort 3
The new saw chain 3/8" Rapid Super Comfort 3
(3/8" RSC 3) can be used on all chainsaws with an
engine power of 3.35 hp (2.5 kW) for all sawing work
for which the 3/8" saw chains are intended.
The 3/8" RSC 3 saw chain transfers less vibration
from the saw chain to the guide bar, resulting in
lower vibration levels at a high cutting performance.
The 3/8" RSC 3 is a saw chain with low kickback
values. A drive link with an extension on top, the
humped drive link (1), guides the cutter more
smoothly and gently into the wood.

The cutters are identical with those used in the 1.2 Function
3/8" Rapid Super C (3/8" RSC) saw chain.
The new saw chains are available with drive links
with a gauge of .063" (1.6 mm) and .050" (1.3 mm).
When the cutting edge contacts the wood, the cutter
tilts smoothly backwards and the saw chain absorbs
a major part of the shock. Depending on the chain
saw being used, the vibration during cutting is
reduced by up to 70%.
Just as on the Rapid Super C, the cutters and the tie
straps of the Rapid Super Comfort 3 are undercut at 1.3 How to recognize the
the rear end of the bottom face. The resulting gap Rapid Super Comfort 3
between the cutter and the guide bar permits the
cutters to tilt backwards, providing a damping effect.
1.1 Advantages
. Low vibration
. Low kickback due to humped drive link
. Smooth running
. Good initial cutting
. High cutting performance
. Humped drive link (1) in front of each cutter
. As on the Rapid Super C, a "C" is stamped into
the cutter (2) and an arrow is stamped into the
tie straps (3) – the arrow points in the direction
of chain motion

Cutting lengths of chain from a reel
Just as for older chains, tie straps without an
undercut at the rear of the bottom face are enclosed
with the reels of saw chain. The tie straps between
the cutters have no effect on the function which
reduces the vibration of the saw chain.
