1. Technical description

If the pawl cannot be unlocked with the lever, a
combination wrench can be used (see figure). A tab
with a hole is on the locking pawl for this purpose.
. Insert the combination wrench in the hole
. Press down in the direction of the arrow
The combination wrench can only be used for
unlocking when the engine is off!
The multiuse STIHL FW 20 Cutquik cart can be Throttle control
used with the TS 700 cut-off machine. The drawing
shows the FW 20 with mounted cutting direction
indicator and water container (accessory).
When you need to cut precise edges at a precise,
continuous depth or make long cuts in a floor, we
recommend using the STIHL TS 700 cut-off
machine on the FW 20 Cutquik cart.
Adjusting the cutting depth

The throttle control (1) is secured with a locking
                                                        button (2) against unintentional actuation.
The guide tube of the FW 20 is pivotable via a
toothed joint. This can be used to adjust the height
of the guide tube to the height of the operator. If the
guide tube is moved all the way forward, the FW 20
is adjusted to a transportable size and can be easily
                                                        moved.
The STIHL FW 20 Cutquik cart comes standard with
a depth limiter. The cutting depth is set with a gear
rack and a locking pawl. The locking pawl is
actuated by a lever (1) from the guide tube –
position A locks, and position B unlocks.

                                                                                        TI_58_2004_30_01_01.fm

3.2 Water container

Wet cutting is recommended to suppress dust.
When working with the cart, the required water can
be supplied from the water container (capacity: 3.4
gal. or 13 liters). An easily accessible valve on the
top of the container allows you to shut off the water
supply at any time. The holder for attaching the tank
to the FW 20 and a hose to the water connection of
the cut-off machine come with the water container.
