4. Summary
1. Clutch, clutch shoe
To further improve the service life and reduce the
noise when idling, the previous clutch
1128 160 2001 with clutch shoe 1128 162 0806 is
replaced by the new version 1128 160 2004 with
clutch shoe 1128 162 0807.
Lateral guidance of the clutch shoes is improved by
the mutually engaging guide strips (1). This
reduces the tilting movement of the clutch shoes,
thus reducing the degree of wear between clutch
shoes and carrier.

further improve the guidance and rigidity.
. Clean the crankshaft taper and bore of the
flywheel hub with commercially standard
solvent-based degreasant not containing any
chlorinated or halogenated hydrocarbons
. Examine the integrally moulded key for signs of
damage – replace the flywheel if necessary
. Mount the flywheel and ensure it is correctly
positioned – key must line up with the groove
. Fit the tightening nut (arrow) and tighten it down
to 21 lbf ft (28 Nm)
Value (a) has been increased by 0.0078 in (2 mm)
to 0.97 in (24,7 mm) on the stop buffer
