1.2 Removing adhesive
All the adhesives used can be removed by heat.
The use of an electric hot-air blower producing a hot
air jet at least 600 °C (1100 °F) is recommended for
releasing bonds. This allows the bond area to be
heated quickly, without damaging other parts. The
bond areas should be heated as evenly as possible.
A slight crackling noise indicates that the bond is
loosening. Check frequently to see whether the
bond has loosened.
Caution! Contact with hot parts can cause burn
injuries.

3. Control handle
See general drawing A.
Please refer to the general drawing for instructions
on disassembling and assembling the screwed
connections on the handle.

3.1 Disassembling and assembling the
          control handle
. Unscrew the screws on the handle supports (1)
and remove tube (2) and control handle (3).
. Clamp the tube (2) and heat the adhesive on
one of the handle supports (1) – see 1.2 – before
      removing the handle support.
. Slacken the control handle (3) attachment
screws and remove the control handle.
. Also disassemble the second handle support (1)
      if necessary.
. Attach control handle (3) to tube (2).
. Apply Loctite 326 to tube (2) as described in
chapter 1.1.2 and press the handle support (1)
      into place.
. Line up the handle support (1).
. Screw in and tighten the screws on the handle
      supports (1).

                                                                    TI_40_2005_30_01_01.fm

4. Drive tube assembly
See general drawing B.
. Slacken the union nut (12) using special tool
4233 893 1300 and remove the front part of the
drive tube from the machine. Use special tool
4233 893 1302 to steady the drive tube at the
gearhead end as you do so.
