  1.     Drive tube with bearing housing
                                                                  The bearing housing (1) is located in the drive
                  2                                               tube (2) by means of a press-fit. It is secured in the
                                    1                             drive tube by means of the screw (4) for the
                                                                  deflector mounting bracket (3).
                                                                  The new special "clamping collar" tool (see
                                                                  section 2) is needed to remove the bearing housing
                                                                  from the drive tube and to insert it in the drive tube.
                                                                  The complete bearing housing can be pulled out of
                               3                                  the drive tube and pushed into the drive tube with

                                                                  this tool.

                                                                  The part numbers for the spare parts are listed in
                                                                  section 3, Summary.
  Until now, the "drive tube with bearing housing" was
  available for replacement only as an assembly. The
  complete bearing housing (1) is now available as a
  spare part.

                                                                  .     Remove the deflector, deflector mounting
                                                                        bracket (6) and locating screw (7).

The new special clamping collar tool 5910 890 1100
has been developed for removal and installation of                         8
the bearing housing 4140 640 1400.

                                                                  .     Slide the special clamping collar tool onto the
      1                                                                 drive tube.
                                                                  .     Align the clamping collar tool, taking care to
                                                                        ensure that :
      4                                     5                     -     the thrust washer (8) of the bearing housing
                                                                        remains free,
                                                                  -     the locating hole (9) in the drive tube is centered
                                                                        in relation to the gap of the clamping collar tool,

                                                                        and / or

The bearing housing (4) is located in the drive
tube (5) by means of a press-fit. The new clamping
collar (1) deforms the drive tube at appropriate
points so the bearing housing can be removed from
inside the tube.

                                                                  .   Position a new bearing housing (4) at the open
                                                                      end of the drive tube.
                                                                  .   If necessary, further tension the screw of the
                                                                      clamping collar tool until the bearing housing (4)
                                                                      can be pushed into the drive tube easily and up
                                                                      to the stop.

-   the thrust piece (10) on the clamping collar tool
    is precisely centered in relation to the notch on
    the collar of the bearing housing (see arrow).
.   With the aid of the tommy screw, gently tension
    the clamping collar tool until the bearing housing

    can be pulled easily out of the drive tube.
If the clamping collar tool is overtensioned, the
drive tube will be permanently deformed and
thus destroyed.
                                                                  .   Turn the collar on the bearing housing so that
