Plate), Hand Guard
Cooling in the area surrounding the front hand guard
has been improved by reducing the web height in
the shroud, and by replacing the existing cooling
plate with a spacer plate.
1.1 Shroud
The previous shroud 1121 080 1605 has been
replaced by the new version 1121 080 1650. The
new shroud can be identified by the reduced web
height and shorter ribs.

1.2 Spacer Plate Spacer Plate
Spacer plate 1121 141 6500 will now be installed
between the exhaust gasket and cylinder in place of 1
the cooling plate 1121 141 3200 .

The spacer plate (1) is installed between the

exhaust gasket and the cylinder. The round
recesses (arrows) in the spacer plate must face the
cylinder. Cooling plate 1121 141 3200 is no longer

1.3 Hand Guard
Hand guard, shroud and spacer plate are available
under kit part no. 1121 790 9150.
1.4 Service Notes
The previous shroud 1121 080 1605 may only be
used as a replacement part on machines with serial
numbers prior to 2 62 187 362. The previous cooling
plate is now replaced by spacer plate
1121 141 6500.
If the hand guard needs to be replaced, the new
shroud 1121 080 1650 and spacer plate
1121 141 6500 must be installed in place of the
previous shroud and cooling plate.
If the shroud is replaced, the new spacer plate
1121 141 6500 must be installed in place of the
previous cooling plate.
