1. Starter cup, sleeve
To further improve function, the previous starter
cup (1) 4221 195 0600 is being replaced by the new
version (2) 4224 190 0550. The difference between
the new starter cup (2) and the previous version (1)
is the groove (arrows) on the side facing the belt.
1, 2 The new starter cup (2) is installed with the new
sleeve (3) 4224 195 0200, which engages the
groove (arrows) of the new starter cup (2) and
4 3 centers it on the shaft. The new sleeve (3) is
included with the new starter cup (2). The previous
starter cup (1) is still installed with the previous

The new sleeve 4224 195 0200 is included with
starter cup 4224 190 0550. The combination of new
starter cup and new sleeve can also be used for
older machines.
The previous starter cup 4221 195 0600 remains
available for other models.
The previous washer 10.5x20x1.5 – 9291 021 3870
remains available for older machines with the
previous starter cup.
1.2 Service note
The new starter cup 4224 190 0550 may only be
installed with the new sleeve 4224 195 0200 –
tightening torque 45 Nm. 1

3.1 ElastoStart™ grip, starter rope
To further improve function, in the "Starter cover with 4.1 Carburetor

(TS 800), the previous "ElastoStart™ grip

4.2 Service notes – barbed connectors
To ensure there are no leaks in the fuel system:
. Install and remove fuel hoses, by hand
whenever possible, in order to avoid damage to
the barbed connector – sharp-edged pliers,
screwdrivers, etc., must not be used – nor
should fuel hoses be cut open with a knife or
similar implement
. Do not reuse fuel hoses after disassembly,
always replace them with new hoses – fuel
hoses may be over-extended when removed.
. Install new fuel hoses dry or with the aid of press
fluid OH 723 – 0781 957 9000. Other press
fluids are not permitted and may lead to fuel
hose damage
. When using press fluid OH 723, apply press
fluid to the ends of the hose and connectors
prior to installation
Notes regarding press fluid OH 723
Press fluid OH 723 produces a lubricant film to aid
in assembly. The lubricant evaporates after a short
time allowing for a tight fit.
Never use fuel, oil or grease as a lubricant. Fuel, oil
and grease does not evaporate and may allow the
hose to slip from the connector.
