head
The new FixCutTM 25-2 mowing head can be
assembled and disassembled on the gearheads of
brushcutters without using combination wrenches
1 2 and locking pins.
Because of the extensive and highly advantageous
changes in the STIHL FixCutTM 25-2, the mowing
head was assigned a new part number; the sales
designation, however, remains the same.
The new version of the FixCutTM 25-2 mowing head
is approved for the same brushcutters as the
preceeding model (see the "FS Cutting Tools"

catalog and the mowing head information sheet).
The previous version of the STIHL FixCutTM 25-2
mowing head (1) with part number 4001 710 2102
was replaced by the new version 4002 710 2158 (2).

The ring-shaped beads (2, 3) on the outer and inner
edges of the new base (1) have a larger volume

the complete mowing head is always supplied as a
spare part. The part numbers are listed in the
summary (see 3.).

One part of the model upgrading package carried
out for the STIHL FixCutTM 25-2 mowing head was
also incorporated in the STIHL FixCutTM 5-2 mowing
head (1). The base was modified (see "1.1.2.
Base").

Despite the limited scope of the changes, the
modified version of the mowing head was assigned
a new part number.
The modified version of the FixCutTM 5-2 mowing
head is approved for the same trimmers as the
preceeding model (see the "FS Cutting Tools"
catalog and the mowing head information sheet).
The part numbers are listed in the summary (see 3.).
