63 PS3 is the first STIHL PICCO™ saw chain with
full chisel cutters.
The new saw chain is designed for professional
users providing maximum cutting performance with
reduced vibration and low kickback tendency.

The new 3/8" STIHL PICCO™ Super 3 full chisel
saw chain is characterized by the sharp-edged,
right-angled top plates as well as the humped drive
link.

The new 3/8" STIHL PICCO™ Super 3 saw chain is

2.3 Repairing the saw chain
The saw chain can be repaired with the rivet
spinners and chain breakers NG 4, NG 5 and NG 7.
2.3.1 Replacing cutters
"Right-hand cutter" and "Left-hand cutter" repair kits
are available. Each repair kit includes five cutters
and five tie straps with rivets. When making repairs,
note the running direction of the tie strap (arrow
head) and of the cutter – the beveled heel of the tie
strap and cutter must be at the rear (in the direction
of motion) of the bottom face.

2.3.2 Replacing tie straps
The tie straps between cutters have no influence on
the vibration-reducing function of the saw chain.
The previous tie straps without beveled heel are
used when replacing tie straps between cutters.
This simplifies matters when cutting saw chain to
length and in the event of service.
2.3.3 Cutting rolls of chain to length
Tie straps without beveled heel are enclosed with
the rolls of saw chain.
