MS 400 C-M parts carry the 1140 prefix (cylinder 1140 020 1212) — same crankcase family as the MS 362. In Europe the MS 362/MS 400 slot passed to the alphanumeric MB01 series (MS 400.1) in 2025; the 1140 saws remain current in North America.

Drive-link counts come from STIHL's saw-chain catalog. Bar searches include mount 3003 / D025; still confirm the mount stamp, pitch, gauge and drive-link count on your installed bar before ordering.

Suggested match: Oregon 72/73/75 EXL. Confirm the drive-link count for your exact bar length before ordering. These are equivalent aftermarket (Oregon) chains, not genuine STIHL chain — STIHL sells its own chain through its dealer network, and we're not affiliated with STIHL. New to fitment?
